Florals: Reaping What You Sow

I love to wear florals year-round. I love flowers in general. They’re pretty on the surface but a lot of work went into getting them into their current state. Often times I find myself admiring flowers without thinking about the work that went into them. In a garden for example, the gardener had to sow a seed. Chances are, there was a lot of trial and error. It’s a good chance that the weather was uncomfortable and the gardener probably thought about giving up once or twice. However, the gardener knows that what is sown into the plant, is exactly what will be reaped. You can’t reap what you don’t sow. You may not be exactly where you want to be but what are you sowing right now to get you there? Maybe the sowing for you right now means spending less money on clothes and investing in that business you’ve been thinking about. Maybe sowing for you is spending time with your loved ones before you go off to school in the fall. Whatever it is, know that what you are sowing will eventually reap a harvest. As you’re sowing, have that as your vision and use that for motivation when you feel like quitting.

Fashion Show Attire

On Thursday, I went to a fashion that was for a great cause: Multiple Sclerosis. Project Orange is a foundation that helps women who have been diagnosed with MS pay bills such as their medical, electric and water bills. I had a great time learning about MS and it was an awesome fashion show. If you want to learn more about the foundation, you can go here: https://www.gofundme.com/1ajax.

Here are the details for what I wore:

Jumpsuit: Marshalls

Shoes: Shoe Dazzle

How To: Wear a Denim Jumpsuit

I recently stepped out in a denim jumpsuit that I purchased from Forever 21 last year. One thing I love about jumpsuits: they can usually be worn year-round. For example, if you have a romper you can transition that piece into the the fall and winter by pairing tights underneath it. In the fall, I usually wear this jumpsuit with a vest to make it a little more complex. During the summer it’s too hot for layers so I just wore it by itself. The key to making this outfit more complex is accessorizing. I didn’t want to take away from the focal point of this outfit (the jumpsuit) so I opted for a subtle necklace and some sassy shades.

Denim Jumpsuit

Wearing a jumpsuit is so comfortable for me because I’m still in the healing process. Who am I kidding though? If I wasn’t, I would still love wearing jumpsuits. Especially this denim one. It isn’t restricting at all and I can’t wait to wear it on the Spring!

I wanted to have some fun with it so I added this faux pink vest with it. I like a lot of my fall and winter wear to be a little oversized so if this vest looks huge on me…it’s because it is lol. Fashion doesn’t have to be boring. You should dress outside of your comfort zone every now and then.

Restyled Jumpsuit

This jumpsuit is one of my staples for Spring and Summer but I wanted to also wear it as a transition piece for Fall so I put a plain white-tee under it. We were walking downtown and I wanted to be comfortable!

Florals in Bloom

One of my old roommates from college had a baby shower this past weekend and it was a great time. There were lots of games, laughs and babies. This jumpsuit allowed me to be comfortable and confident at the same time while making a bold statement. I paired it with  flat gladiators but I can’t wait to pair this with heels!
