I’ve been busy with Luke and Queen Styles Boutique! This year’s pop-up shops are different. I need to stop and pump for Luke. Which means I need coverage while I’m away. I’m grateful to have great friends and family who are helping me during this new season. Not to mention a husband who delights in encouraging me.
Here are a few looks from this month. All looks have pieces from Queen Styles

Asheville, North Carolina is one of my favorite places to visit. When I’m there, it always reminds me to slow down. The pace is just so relaxing. Life can be hectic at times and if we’re not careful, we can get caught up in the busyness of it all and miss out on the simple moments. It doesn’t hurt that the scenery is so beautiful. Here are a few pictures of my trip.
This sweater dress is from Queen Styles Boutique

It’s hard to believe that our baby boy will be here in less than 4 weeks! We’re so excited to meet him. We’re busy making sure everything is ready for him and I’m busy trying to stay cool and comfortable. I’ve been sticking to light fabrics as best as I can. Here’s a look I out together recently. It’s pretty casual but I can’t wait to dress these pants up with a cute pair of heels or wear them with a crop top. Wearing black and white really allows you to play with different colors in your accessories. I chose to pair this look with metallic accessories but the next time, I’ll probably pair these paints with a little more color.

It’s time to bring out over the knee boots. They’re definitely a favorite fall and winter staple of mine. You can wear them with dress, shorts or skirts which makes them really versatile. If you’re looking to elongate your legs while wearing over the knee boots, try pairing them without tights or a dress with a shorter hemline.

The weather has been so back and forth recently. One day it’s been cold and the next day, it’s hot. This weekend it actually snowed so I took advantage of it by wearing some fall and winter wear. I love having fun with neutral tones. It’s fun to combine colors like grey and black with rich colors like this emerald green hat. Whenever I’m wearing dark and rich tones during the day, I like to balance them with lighter tones. This peach sweater kept me nice and warm, plus it balanced out the darker tones in my outfit. Having this balance creates a look that isn’t too “heavy” or “weighed down”.
Jacket: Old Navy
I visited Treehouse Vineyards this past weekend and had a blast. It was nice recharging my batteries and relax a bit. I guess you could say that I was inspired by nature. This time of year, the leaves are changing and it’s so beautiful to witness. Some say you shouldn’t mix yellow and brown and red. I will admit I thought I would look like a hot dog at first but I really liked mixing these colors. Fashion is supposed to be fun. If you like mixing colors, do it. If your wardrobe consists of only black and you like it, own it! I think the moment we stop wearing what expresses who we are is the moment fashion stops being the creative force it was it intended to be. So whatever your wardrobe consists of, as long as it expresses who you are, own it!

I hope you are having a great weekend. I created Queen Styles Boutique for the woman who has a multifaceted lifestyle. I created Queen Styles Boutique for the young professional woman who needs clothes that she can wear for her new career and out to brunch. Clothes that she can rock to that interview and wear to run errands or out for drinks with the perfect accessories. She is most likely on a budget and needs her money to stretch. I selected these pieces because they are east to mix and match. You can dress them up or down like these culottes and grey shirt. This pair was so easy to dress down today. It’s a cold and rainy Sunday in North Carolina which calls for comfortable clothes!
You can shop these culottes here: https://queenstylesboutique.com/collections/all/products/black-culottes-with-side-split

I hope you have a great week ahead!
This week I was traveling between Charlotte, Wilmington and Greenville. Thanksgiving week is usually a little hectic for us because we try to split up time between our two families and it’s always worth it. There’s something about being around family that just recharges my batteries. Below are two looks I wore this past week:
This first look was when we were downtown Wilmington, NC. Wilmington is a very laid-back place and I really appreaciate that. I’ve been waiting to wear tights, so when it finally was about forty degrees I pulled these tights out with no hesitation.
Boots: Old Navy
This second look was when I went Black Friday Shopping. I haven’t gone Black Friday shopping in years! I’ve forgotten how hectic it can be but I had fun nonetheless.
Hat: Old Navy
Boots: Old Navy
It seems like fall has turned into winter in a matter of days here in North Carolina. I was a little thrown off on how to adjust to be honest. I missed the warm weather of summer but I’m so ready for sweater weather. I felt like I was in a state of limbo. When I was growing up, my mom would always equate the seasons changing in terms of weather to the different seasons that we go through as people. One season may be filled with one success after another, while another season may be filled with one trial after another. One thing is for certain though: seasons change. There’s often a period of being uncomfortable during this transition. You’re trying to hold on to one season or maybe you’re anxiously awaiting the next season in your life.
I’m not sure if you’re in the middle of a season right now or a period of transition but the good news is, whatever you’re going through right now will pass. I encourage you to be patient where you are. Soak up any lessons that are in front of you. Don’t get discouraged if you’ve been in one season too long and don’t see anything changing. Gods working everything for your favor right now. Trust in His timing!
While we’re in a state of limbo here, I’ve been layering with scarves to help with the awkward weather. Just like this:
Sweater: J Crew
Boots: Old Navy
