Faux Suede Skirt

Happy Friday! I’m so elated that today is Friday. We’re going to Nashville, TN to celebrate our wedding anniversary this weekend and I think a little bit of pre-celebration calls for a mini skirt. A sassy faux suede mini skirt like this one. Follow the celebration on Snapchat: DeneaGM

Birthday Love

This past Monday was my birthday. Thank you to all of you who wrote kind words on social media. This week, I also had to work in Wilmington, NC. I love Wilmington not just for its beaches but for the relaxed vibe that comes from the people. It’s truly amazing when no one is rushing to get to the next place. No one is riding your bumper in traffic trying to rush you. It’s nice to relax. I took a break from work Monday night to celebrate another year. Here’s what I wore downtown:

Silk Dress: Banana Republic

Cardigan: Forever21

Boots: Old Navy

Weekend Celebration

I hope you all are having a great weekend! I was approached to contribute to MyTrendingStories.com which is a blogging platform that is designed to allow bloggers to freely post any topic. I’m very excited and will have more details later! We went out to celebrate this weekend.

Below are the details about my outfit. Styling tip: if you want to add variety to your maxi dress try belting it! It makes your outfit a little more interesting and outlines your figure.

Dress: Old Navy

Belt: Old Navy

Earrings: Target

Clutch: Thrift Store Find

Mother’s Day

Yesterday I was able to celebrate my Mom. When I ask her what she wants to do, it’s the same thing every year: dinner and a movie. We went to see Hot Pursuit and had dinner at a local restaurant here. We usually find our way to some desert as well. My parents divorced when I was young and I was raised in a single house hold by my mother. Watching her make so many sacrifices to raise us makes me so honored to call her my mother. Here’s a few pics from our day and a throwback of my mom. I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day!
