Basic Invite: Making Celebrations Easy

Hello,

I think sometimes we can get caught up in the routine of life. If we’re not careful, something that was once miraculous can turn ordinary. When something amazing happens, we should be celebrating it! One of the things I love most about a new year is having new reasons to celebrate. Turning another year older? Celebrate it! Graduating? Congratulations; celebrate that! Did you just add an addition to your family? Celebrate that! Getting married? That’s definitely a reason to celebrate! Having a reason to celebrate leads to….you guessed it, a celebration. It might be a big event or something you’re planning in your backyard, but having a celebration is a great way to honor a special occasion and spend time with the people you love.

One of the first steps to planning a celebration is picking out the invitations. Luckily for us, Basic Invite has taken out all of the hard work when it comes to selecting invitations. They are one of the few invitation companies that offer a wide variety of colors to choose from. Once you select a design for your invitation, you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options! They also give customers the option to order a printed sample of their invitation. Which takes the guessing work out of the invitation process. If you needed another reason to love them, Basic Invite has an address capturing service! I hate having to track people down for their addresses. I send text messages or call them but for whatever reason, getting an address is one of the hardest things to do. With Basic Invite, their address capturing service allows customers to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Check out a few of their invitations below and see for yourself why they’re the perfect invitation company:

Birthday Love

Hello!

This past Monday was my birthday. Thank you to all of you who wrote kind words on social media. This week, I also had to work in Wilmington, NC. I love Wilmington not just for its beaches but for the relaxed vibe that comes from the people. It’s truly amazing when no one is rushing to get to the next place. No one is riding your bumper in traffic trying to rush you. It’s nice to relax. I took a break from work Monday night to celebrate another year. Here’s what I wore downtown:

Silk Dress: Banana Republic

Cardigan: Forever21

Boots: Old Navy

Celebrate Yourself

Hello Friends!

This weekend has been all about celebrating my birthday. It’s not until Monday but I usually celebrate for multiple days. I’m that friend who wears a birthday crown and sash. It doesn’t matter if it’s a milestone birthday or not, I always get excited to celebrate birthdays. I think birthdays are worth celebrating. Usually, we cater to others 364 days out of the year. I think we deserve one day that’s all about us.

I think it’s so important to celebrate yourself! We visited Greenville,SC for the weekend. Here’s what I wore for my first celebration. Don’t forget to follow me on snapchat:deneagm and Instagram: @_lifeisgolden_ to keep up with me.

Tank top: Old Navy

Shorts: Jc Penny

Shoes: Nine West

Hat: Old Navy

Sunday Funday Attire

We usually use Sunday Funday in order to help us relax before the week. This Sunday we are also celebrating my husband’s birthday! I’m so blessed to have him as my husband and best friend. I love this shirt from Freedom House. It makes me wonder about how I’m leaving my mark. I want to make sure that I’m doing my part to make an impact. Whether I do that by blogging and talking about certain issues or just being kind to someone. I hope you have asked yourself how you’re leaving a mark of making an impact too. We all have a part to play in how we impact others.

Here’s what I wore:

Skirt:Forever21

Shirt: Freedom House

Shoes: ShoeDazzle

Black and Brown

It’s been so cloudy and gloomy here lately but I love it! It makes me just want a cup of hot coco and sit by the fire plus it’s a great time to bring out the big floppy hats.

It’s funny, when I had surgery on my back I was so conscious about my scar. I didn’t want to wear tank tops or anything strapless that would show my scar but this time around, I could really care less about the scar on my stomach. This surgery was so unexpected and I’m blessed to be in good health so why not show my scar? Plus it was my birthday 😎

Hat: Old Navy

Tunic: Express

Cape: H&M

Pants: Forever21

Shoes: Old Navy

Earrings: Target

One Skirt, Two ways

I’ve had an awesome birthday weekend! I’m definitely resting today. I wore the first look yesterday during brunch with my family. I posted the second look for a Fourth of July party. Maxi skirts are so versatile.

Fall is here!

Fall has always been my favorite season. Even when I lived in Florida haha. It’s something about the chill in the air (not in Florida) and the leaves changing colors here in North Carolina. Maybe it’s also the fact that my birthday is in fall too 🙂 I’m looking forward to welcoming hot chocolate and fire pits. I made our fall wreath to welcome the season. Are you looking forward to any fall activities?
