Basic Invite: Making Celebrations Easy

Hello,

I think sometimes we can get caught up in the routine of life. If we’re not careful, something that was once miraculous can turn ordinary. When something amazing happens, we should be celebrating it! One of the things I love most about a new year is having new reasons to celebrate. Turning another year older? Celebrate it! Graduating? Congratulations; celebrate that! Did you just add an addition to your family? Celebrate that! Getting married? That’s definitely a reason to celebrate! Having a reason to celebrate leads to….you guessed it, a celebration. It might be a big event or something you’re planning in your backyard, but having a celebration is a great way to honor a special occasion and spend time with the people you love.

One of the first steps to planning a celebration is picking out the invitations. Luckily for us, Basic Invite has taken out all of the hard work when it comes to selecting invitations. They are one of the few invitation companies that offer a wide variety of colors to choose from. Once you select a design for your invitation, you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options! They also give customers the option to order a printed sample of their invitation. Which takes the guessing work out of the invitation process. If you needed another reason to love them, Basic Invite has an address capturing service! I hate having to track people down for their addresses. I send text messages or call them but for whatever reason, getting an address is one of the hardest things to do. With Basic Invite, their address capturing service allows customers to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Check out a few of their invitations below and see for yourself why they’re the perfect invitation company:

How to: Wear Pastel Colors During the Winter

Hello,

It’s that weird time when it’s not quite spring and it doesn’t feel like winter. In North Carolina we just had snow last week and yet today, it was almost seventy degrees out! When the weather goes back and forth like this, I get anxious….for the next season. I’m so ready for spring. Wearing pastel sweaters and accessories helps to cure my impatience while I’m waiting for spring. Try wearing a hat that comes in a bright color or a scarf that comes in a bright print during this time. That’s just what I did below by pairing this sweater from Queen Styles Boutique with some pastel accessories. When you do this, make sure the sweater you’re wearing has enough weight to it (heavier fabric) if not, your outfit won’t look balanced with your winter accessories.

How to: Make Any Outfit Complex

Hello,

I’ll admit it. I’m obsessed with the “choker” trend. It could be due to the fact that I grew up watching the show “Clueless”. The choker trend really brings me back to that time. So I was really excited to wear this dress from Queen Styles Boutique. I always try to make my outfits complex and add elements of visual interest. Sometimes that can be hard to do without overpowering your look. That’s why I think less is more when you’re layering. If you think you’ve gone too far, try taking off the last piece you added. See how your outfit looks. If it looks too plain, add on the last piece. If it looks better without the last piece, you’ve achieved the perfect balance for your outfit.
