Unofficially Summer

Gotta love these three day weekends! This weekend is known as the unofficial start of summer. It’s time for us to have a little bit of fun and relax. This weekend isn’t just about relaxing and attending cook outs though, it’s also about remembering those who lost their lives while fighting for our country. No matter what you’re doing this weekend, remember to pause and think about those brave soldiers.

From me to you, I hope you all enjoy this weekend! If you want to see what I’m up to this weekend, follow me on snapchat: DeneaGM

Southern Charm

Southern Charm

Living in North Carolina has definitely influenced my style. There’s a sense of southern charm here. When it comes to southern charm in fashion, I like to wear pieces that flatter my figure in a modest way while adding a little twist to my look. These looks are a few examples on how I would add my twist. These boots are from King Ranch Saddle Shop. I’m kind of obsessed with them for the simple fact that you can really pair them with just about anything. They’re perfect for bringing an outfit together. Here are a few ways I would rock these boots and allow my southern charm to shine through. #style #fashion #fashionblogger #southerncharm #lifeisgoldenblog #Fashionlover #springfashion

Charleston Trip

I’ve included in several of my posts how I am gearing up for graduation, which means my portfolio show is coming soon. I’m so excited! I’ve been working intensely to get everything in place and formatted so whenever I get the chance to take a break, I make sure to take advantage of it. One of my high school friends got married in Charleston, SC over the weekend and we made a mini-vacation out of it. I have some pictures below. By the way, most of my excursions are on Snapchat. We All Have Passions to Follow

I’m going to be a Style Guru for this summer. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to write articles and share my perspective on fashion. I’ve always enjoyed writing about fashion. Whether I’m giving fashion advice or just sharing what inspired my outfit, it’s always been something I am passionate about. Maybe someone out there has a passion but is feeling discouraged. Maybe you feel like your dream isn’t going to come true. Well, if you would’ve told me a year ago that I would be writing on a platform such as I wouldn’t have believed you. Hard work pays off. Don’t give up! Stay persistent and continually perfect your craft. Your time is coming.

My first post will be later this month and I will keep you posted. I photographed my bio pictures today. Here are the details on what I wore:

Shirt: WhoWhatWear for Target

Shorts: H&M

Sandals: Old Navy

Hat: Forever21

Happy Monday!

Yup, I said the words “happy” and “Monday” in the same phrase. It’s normal not to associate those two words together but think about this for a moment. What if we had the power to shape our day based off of the words we spoke? Well, we do! Or at least I believe we do. As you are starting this week off, think about Monday in a positive way. Regardless of the tasks you have in front of you. Think about yourself as positive person who can handle just about anything that comes your way this week. I’m challenging you to do something that is probably going to seem annoying but, who knows, you might just have a better week waiting ahead of you.

Rose Quartz isn’t just one of Pantone’s colors for Spring 2016, it also represents “love” and is set to lower the stress levels of those around it. So here’s some “love” from me to you. I hope it brings you peace for the awesome week awaiting you.

How To: Dress for Rainy Spring Days

I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday! I can’t believe it’s May already. Doesn’t it feel like time is going by so quickly? It’s hard to believe that I’ll be graduating soon, but that’s a post for another time! May calls for beautiful flowers and some rain as well and it can be difficult to dress for the weather that the month brings. Today for example, it’s pretty humid and has been rainy all day. Whenever it rains, especially during the spring or summer, I like to wear bright colors or prints. Here’s what I wore:

Tunic- Allen B. for Target

Watch: Anne Klein
