We are finally focusing on decorating our place and I have to say interior decorating is one of my favorite pastimes!! I love having a room as a blank canvas. Comfort is important but of course, I have to shop with style too.
Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Tj Maxx
Military Boots: Forever 21
I was pleasantly surprised last night at most of the gowns and suits. These gown really have to photograph well and make a statement! We saw a lot of Great Gatsby themed bejeweled dresses and I loved the “no hair” trend ( having hair off of the face) that was going on. It’s almost like there was a memo that went out and got everyone on the same page.
I enjoyed seeing Zoe Saldana last night! There was a lot that was said about her spaghetti strapped dress but I loved the color and the fit. She just had twins in December!
I was left a little confused by Scarlett Johansson’s her choice in jewelry. I thought the dress was fine without adding the necklace.
Rosamund Pike took a risk with pairing her red dress with red shoes. I think it’s better to make a statement than to not make a statement at all! I think her risk paid off.
Lupita Nyong’o wore a dress that had 6,000 pearls that were hand-sewn to make this dress come together. For that reason (and her skin looks gorgeous in this color) she is my Best!
In honor of tonight, let’s take a quick look at some past looks that still have us talking. My prediction for tonight is that we will see a lot of retro inspiration.
From street fashion to the runway, clearly the cold weather isn’t slowing down New York Fashion Week. Here are a few of my favorite looks so far!
Here’s a snapshot of Fashion Week. Whether men were viewing the show or modeling in the show, we saw a lot of neutral toned clothing. What do you think of neutral colors for Fall?
I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine’s Day!! Here’s what I wore:
Boots: JC Penny (on sale)
Socks: over the knee socks from Walmart
We had a blast last night a brewery in our uptown area. It was cold but worth it!
Vest: New York and Company
Shirt: Forever 21
Bag: Nine West
If you’re still searching for something to wear, don’t panic chances are you already have these pieces in your closet.
The Fancy Date:
Whether it’s with a new guy or your sweetheart, you still want to impress him. I’d suggest adding a blazer and tights if he’s kicking it up a notch.
The Sporty Date:
Hiking or bike riding?
One word: comfortable!! But that doesn’t have to mean that you are still not chic. If you guys are going to grab a drink afterwards, why not have heels in your car to substitute your sneakers?
The Casual Date:
Casual dinning, festivals or going to catch a movie? Or maybe you are hanging with the girls. Here are some of my favorite looks.
There were a couple of looks that were hands down my favorite and others that were well..let’s take a look.
Ladies dressed in black
Ladies who left me "meh". I definitely feel it's better to make a statement than none at all. These ladies left me feeling indifferent.
I absolutely love her music! I just wish she would tweak a couple of things with her red carpet fashion. I wonder why she didn’t wear her performance gown on the red carpet.
The glam. No explanation needed.
The fashion moment. This was pretty easy for me.
